these are the images of my project. It is a series of images with slight changes in each one to represent the growth and demise of the things being swept/shut away and the continuation of everyday life (thats why the plant was included).the model is of a camera and i chose it to represent the need to capture moments to remember them.

this weekend
over the weekend i aim to make the model objects using a variety of materials to see which one works the best. I also came up with the idea of bringing the drawers and rugs outside. This sprang to my mind as the piece is supposed to represent a person and photographing it outside shouts freedom to me. it will also give me a great idea of how to set the objects up together.

need space.
After rearranging my rooms several times (and nearly a broken toe)i have come to the conclusion that i do not have the space to put the drawers and the rug together in the house....im trying to think of somewhere that i can at least see it all together for perspective it might have to be the garden for now.
initial ideas

After taking many different photos of a rug with objects underneath i found it to be a bit lonely so i thought about adding a set of draws into the composition, With it in mind that people shut things away. This then led to me thinking that ordinary objects mean such a lot to some people and less to others. I then started to research chinese traditions at funerals to recreate the objects of personal meaning to the deceased out of card. This then also developed into looking at the advertisements made by orange mobile (if anyone knows the designer could you please let me know i have looked everywhere with no joy.)
fmp
After many months of working in my sketchbook to come up with the perfect idea for my fmp i have finally come up with one i am pretty pleased with. I took a lot of inspiration from david carsons typography pieces and then started to look at Tracey Emmin and Fiona Banners work both of which i find really interesting. My idea is sort of autobiographical but can relate to any person. I started off with print work as you can see and then developed that into photographic images. I wanted the narrative behind my work to be the consequences of life mainly the things that happen to you as a person that you wouldn't openly tell people and kind of sweep under the carpet.
come fly with me

During the easter holidays i found myself recreating my aviation font. i tried to develop the font i already had but it developed into something completely different. by using the counters of the letters (some of which were included in my original font) i designed my new font. it is quite abstract and i think it is really interesting....i"ll let you decide for yourself.
